Beyond delighted to hear this week that Approval Needed has been selected for the wonderful Vancouver International South Asian Film Festival. So, we will have our Canadian premiere this November.
It’s an honour to be selected for such an inspiring (Canadian Screen Award qualifying) festival.
As ever, I’m sending a big thank you to all the amazing people I worked with on this film – cast, crew, post-production, Talkies Community Cinema, and the oh so generous Kickstarter supporters, without whom non of this could have happened at all.
Sadly, Approval Needed has actually become more relevant than when we first made it – there is so much isolation and so much inequality and tension in the world right now, but each time the film goes out there into the world and finds an audience, there is a small chance that as a result someone will think twice and act more kindly.
Kindness really does beget kindness.
